Benefits of a franchised manufacturing system.

I've been thinking of the strength and weaknesses of having a Pizza Hut model of small, associated manufacturing shops.

Pros

• Fast and agile
• Many items have small fixes
• Builds community
• Resilience, shops in the next town over can help with overflow.
• Hub for teaching

Cons

• Larger items are impractical
• Some items are impossible/difficult to fix.
• Cheap + Crap is often more tempting than Inexpensive + Good

Obviously these are just high-level items, but that's a rough draft overview of items.
